Sunset Vineyard
                    on Red Mountain
The Sunset Vineyard was planted in 2007 by Dick Boushey. Located on the Western side of Sunset Road at approximately 725 feet above sea level, it is a little more sheltered from the high winds of Red Mountain. The site is between Ciel du Cheval and Klipsun, and the soil  is a well drained Warden/Scooteney silt above a layer of tightly compacted gravel and calcium deposits. This small 3 acre vineyard provides characteristics slightly different from the Ambassador Vineyard and its' greater wind exposure. This small planting is dedicated to Cabernet Sauvignon #8, and Malbec #4.
